The Romanesque stone church, which dates back to the 12th century, is one of the oldest churches in Norway and is still in use. It is surrounded by spectacular scenery, overlooking the ocean and the characteristic mountain-cleft called Kinnaklova.
Kinn Turistservice offers guided tours from the pier to the medieval church - the slow walk along a gravel road takes about 30 minutes (distance 1.4 km).
Inside the church, you will join in on a journey from medieval times till today. Along with a brief history of the church and the legends connected with it, there will be live music performed on both C-flute and the church's pipe-organ. During this presentation, the church will have lighted candles and flower decorations.
After the presentation you can spend time on your own for photographing, buying souvenirs, etc. Toilet facilities are available close to the church.
There will be guided tours all weekdays (mon-fri) in June, July and August of 2011, corresponding with the local express boat's departure from Florø at 12:30 (arriving at Kinn about 13:00). Departure from Kinn is at 15:10 (arrival in Florø ca 15:50), 16:30 (arrival in Florø ca 17:10) or in the evening at 20:30 (Tue and Fri) and at approx. 21:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will be back in Florø at about 21:30 (applies to all days).

Applies only to guided tours corresponding with local express boat departing from Florø at 12:30 hours on weekdays (mon-fri) in June, July and August of 2011. Prices are for guided tours from the pier to the church, including the presentation inside the church, total time approx 1½ hour.
